After being outed on social media, school officials had to admit they knew about but did not disclose information about the assault at Grandview High School in May.
“My compass in each of these incidents has been protecting our students in every possible way,” Bull said in the statement. “As always, we as a district will review our practices and bring forward our learnings from both of these situations. We will critique our actions and responses in an effort to improve, especially when it comes to ensuring the safety of our students.”
Broderick Jerrod Lundie, 29, was arrested May 4 on sexual exploitation, sexual assault and obscenities charges. Lundie is alleged to have been texting with several students and is accused of illegal sexual contact with at least one student.

The girl told police she was walking near the intersection at about 8:30 p.m. Feb. 14 when she was grabbed by a man with a “deadly weapon” and taken to a “secluded area,” where the man physically and sexually assaulted.
