Terrance Gerard Davis, 44, died of multiple gunshot wounds, and his death was a homicide, the coroner’s office said. Aurora police spokesman Officer Bill Hummel said no arrests have been made in the slaying, and investigators have not released details about any potential suspects
The suspect, whose name and age have not been released because they are a juvenile, is facing an attempted first-degree murder charge and a first-degree assault charge, police said.
Kelly Bly Acosta, 29, was gunned down early Feb. 18 in the 4000 block of South Crystal Circle. Police said the shooting, which occurred in the parking lot of an apartment complex near East Quincy Avenue and Parker Road, happened after Acosta tried to stop a robbery.
When officers arrived they heard what they believed was a gunshot from inside a mobile home. A man had barricaded inside the home and refused numerous commands to come out, police said
“Officers at the scene were able to get a good description of the shooter and located him a short distance from the scene on an RTD bus,” police said.
Salvador Ivan Madrid faces multiple charges, including attempted first-degree murder after deliberation, two counts of attempted first-degree murder with extreme indifference, three counts of first-degree assault and one misdemeanor count of possession of a handgun by a juvenile.
The incident happened about 11:30 p.m. Monday near the Friendly Village Mobile Home Park in the 1800 block of Eisenhower Way, police said.
He is due for sentencing on March 28, 2016, and faces up to 10 years in prison and up to a $250,000 fine.
