AURORA | Locked in a fierce battle with Regis Jesuit in a rare meeting between the teams, the Grandview boys soccer team finally broke through Wednesday. The fifth-seeded Wolves went into halftime scoreless with the 12th-seeded and lively Raiders, but took control in the second half with goals from juniors Jaime Luna and Ian Oltman on their way to a 2-0 victory and a spot in the Class 5A state quarterfinals.

HOUSTON | Another day, another former Grandview High School football star getting a job in the National Football League. Former Wolves’ standout wide receiver Tanner Gentry was signed to the Chicago Bears’ active roster on Tuesday and a day later, the Houston Texans brought tight end Evan Baylis on their active roster.

“These incidents should be focused on with a bright spotlight to ensure ourselves there are no more victims, that we know what to watch for in other kids, and to learn how to create awareness around issues and make sure victims understand it’s not their fault, that these are predators,” said Margaret Ochoa
