Rather than indulge the unrealistic and inhumane path that Trump and U.S. Attorney General Jeff Sessions are inflicting on all of America, Congress should bypass the White House and impose a far more realistic and compassionate plan
“I believe the president would sign it (the bill) if we could pass it,” Coffman said. “I believe the president just wants to let (the DACA issue) go, but now he doesn’t have a choice.”
“As a combat veteran I value the price of blood more than the price of oil,” Coffman said before his announcement at the state Capitol, admitting the embargo would likely have an effect on U.S. gasoline prices – though he said it was unclear just how much the legislation would impact Americans.
Expanding the buffer zone will also put the base in a better position to compete for the basing of the F-35 fighter that is replacing the aging F-16 fighters currently based at Buckley
“Buckley is absolutely vital to our local economy and to our national security, and I am pleased that this funding will be included in the 2017 (National Defense Authorization Act),” Coffman said.
“I’m an American. My values are American values and we want this country to succeed like everyone else.”
Sanctuary cites are only a symptom of a greater problem that requires fixing our broken immigration system and I look forward to working with my colleagues in Congress, on both sides of the aisle, to get the job done
“As a matter of fact I’ve never met (Pelosi) and I’ve never spoken with her. I’m nobody’s candidate expect for voters of the 6th Congressional District. I have a history of service in this county, and in this country, that’s outside of politics,” Crow said. “Nobody’s pitting me against Mike Coffman. This is a decision my wife and I thought about for a long time — how can we best be a check against Donald Trump and how to stand up against him?”
U.S. Rep. Mike Coffman of the 6th Congressional District was poised to approve the bill. “History will judge the party harshly if we don’t keep our word to repeal and replace the Obamacare disaster,” he said in a statement, after the measure was pulled
“It’s so important to recognize that young people who were brought here as children, who grew up here, went to school here, and who often know of no other country, be allowed to legally remain in the U.S.,” Coffman said in a statement. “Let’s give them a chance to achieve the American dream through work, education or military service, and to help us together build a stronger America.”
