Coffman made a deal with House Speaker Paul Ryan, R-Wisconsin, to delay gathering support for the Bar Removal of Individuals who Dream and Grow our Economy Act, also called the BRIDGE Act, so that Congress can focus on a long-term legislative fix, according to a report from The Hill, a Washington, D.C. political news outlet.


“Jason has served our nation with distinction in Iraq and Afghanistan. He is a stellar community leader and father, and loves Colorado,” Salazar said of Crow in a statement. “He has proven his ability to unify the community through positive leadership and build coalitions to get things done — from his work with other veteran leaders in the fight for the VA Hospital in Aurora, to helping build organizations to address the growing substance abuse crisis in our community.”


While discussions on this topic continue, we must respect the Constitution as well as the right of Coloradans to make their own decisions on matters that are purely within the jurisdiction to the State of Colorado, and I will continue to do everything in my power to ensure that the federal government will respect our states’ rights and sovereignty
