ENGLEWOOD | A look at Peyton Manning’s day at Denver Broncos training camp:
PEYTON’S PLACE: The Broncos had a lighter practice Wednesday a day after they were hit hard with injuries, including starting right guard Chris Kuper’s broken left forearm. With Manny Ramirez replacing Kuper, Manning’s work was limited along with everyone else’s as much of the day was devoted to special teams.
HOW’D HE DO?: Another typical practice for Manning, whose throws were powerful and precise. He had a particularly pretty pass on a high-arcing lob to tight end Joel Dreessen and put a perfect throw into the chest of wide receiver Andre Caldwell.
TALKING MANNING: “It progresses this week. Our starters will play to the end of the second quarter.” — coach John Fox on how much Manning will play in his home debut Saturday night against Seattle after taking a dozen snaps in the Broncos’ preseason opener at Chicago last week.
