Boys Golf: Rangeview 4th to lead Aurora at first EMAC major

AURORA | The first EMAC major tournament of the year belonged to the North Division, which took the top three team spots in play Thursday at Meadow Hills Golf Course.

Led by individual medalist Austin Ulumland, Prairie View posted a four-golfer total of 344 and cruised to a nine-stroke victory over Brighton (353), with the Northglenn/Thornton combo well back in third place at 401.

With a fourth-place total of 415, Rangeview paced teams from the South Division — made up mostly of Aurora teams — while Gateway (425) and Aurora Central (427) took 6th and 7th, respectively. With only three players entered, Hinkley didn’t register a team score, but senior Daniel Del Real had the low individual round for city players with a 90.

Rangeview was led by freshman Raymond Simanjuntak’s 97, while Mitchell Votry checked in with a 101.
