Boys Golf: Rangeview tops Gateway in first EMAC South tournament
Freshmen make impact for Raiders in season-opening win at Springhill; Hinkley's Del Real repeats winning performance from 2011
AURORA | The Rangeview boys golf team got off to a strong start to the 2012 season on Thursday, taking the first EMAC South meet by 20 strokes.
Led by the tandem of junior Mitchell Votry and freshman Raymond Simanjintak — who each shot 17-over-par 81s — the Raiders finished with a team score of 343 in the tournament at Springhill Golf Course and came in well front of runner-up Gateway.
