PERRY: Pucker up, Q-Ville, it’s smooching time at Chick-Fil-A

And Lord only knows what other biblical details Cathay chooses to run his business with. Slaves? Stonings? Dead sibs? Hard to tell because he and his ilk say you don’t get to pick and choose when it comes to the Bible.

Aurora- and Denver-area gays, and those without a bias toward them, are making rumblings they’ll be out Friday with the rest of the country for a same-sex kiss-in at Chick-Fil-A restaurants.

That would include the one just across the street from the newsroom, in the parking lot of the Town Center of Aurora mall.

Looks like gays, lesbians and supporters of gay rights are giving real lip service to draw attention to Chick-Fil-A CEO Dan Cathy’s anti-gay credo he vomited all over CBS News last week.

““We are very much supportive of the family — the biblical definition of the family unit,” he told CBS. “We are a family-owned business, a family-led business, and we are married to our first wives. We give God thanks for that. We know that it might not be popular with everyone, but thank the Lord, we live in a country where we can share our values and operate on biblical principles.”

Religiously like-minded gays and gay supporters also thank God they can raise Cain against the international fast-food chain, and they have. A handful of mayors from big-cities across the country say they want to find a way to kick the bigoted company out of their towns. Chick-Fil-A corporate underlings have freaked, tap-dancing around Cathy’s spew and saying they don’t hate anyone’s money, even that coming from homosexuals, whom they respect.

I am, I guess, pleased to know that Cathy lives with his “first-wife.” Being part of a staunch Baptist clan, I am curious who might have lived with the past wives of other staunch Baptists in their biblical bliss. And Lord only knows what other biblical details Cathy chooses to run his business with. Slaves? Stonings? Dead sibs? Hard to tell because he and his ilk say you don’t get to pick and choose when it comes to the Bible.

So what better way to fend off haters like Cathy than to show the love at his ubiquitous chicken sandwich shacks?

Perhaps there’s a lesson to be learned here not only for corporations but all of America: Homophobia could soon become the political kiss of death.

Perry, you must be a very angry man.  Maybe you need some counseling to work out your anger.   If people don’t agree with you, you call them bigots or haters or discriminators.  In actuality, YOU are the bigot and you are the one discriminating.  A bigot is defined as a person who strongly and unfairly dislikes other people, ideas, opinions, religious beliefs; a person who is obstinately or intolerantly devoted to his own opinions and prejudices; especially one who regards and treats the members of a group (religious) with hatred and intolerance.   Discrimination is defined as the prejudicial treatment of an individual based on his membership  in a certain group or category (Religious – Bible).  You are supporting the restricting of one group (Religious) from opportunities that are available to a group, leading to the exclusion of the entity based on irrational decisionmaking.  Under the 1st amendment, all U.S. citizens are granted Religious freedom.  You and the LGBT and gays are trying to take that constitutional right away from Cathy and Chick-fil-A.  Cathy and Chick-fil-A have not expressed any hate attitude toward anyone – you and the gay organization have.  Cathy and Chick-fil-A have not shown any discrimination toward anyone – they serve all customers who come to their restaurants; they also hire gays to work for them.  You and the gay organization have discriminated against Chick-fil-A.   Have you ever read the Bible?  Do you even know anythings about its contents?  Although the Bible is ancient, it is not a dead book.  It is alive and as fresh as if God were speaking directly to you.  The stories may have taken place centuries ago, but the principles and applications are current and relevant.  It is a Christian’s instruction book about how to live.  Guidance for decisions and discernment about situations are found from Gensis to Revelation.  God’s Word is active and piercing.  The words don’t simply sit on the page.  They penetrate the hearts and judge the thoughts and motives of Christians.  This convicting quality is why some people (like you) don’t like to read the Bible.  Did you see how many people supported Chick-fil-A today (Wednesday, Aug. 1)?  The lines were 50 – 60 patrons long!!!!!!  Billy Graham even says to “eat chicken”.  Maybe what us Christians should do if march around the Sentinel offices with huge signs that screem out ——EDITOR PERRY IS A HORRID BIGOT!!!!!!!

The only opinion that counts is the ‘anything, anywhere, anytime’ crowds pov.

There are people out here, I’m one of them, that don’t agree with your opinion that ‘civil rights’ should mean we have to agree with everything you say and do with your life, we’re not allowed to disagree or be chastised.

I long for the more civil, moral country in which I lived, America when everyone was proud of her, stood up without being cajoled when the flag passed or the song was sung, delighted to cheer for everything American.

Today crowds of ‘americans’ praise Hate-America speak, elected a president who, at least partly because he is black, his background is vague, his heritage is vague, his schooling is vague and cloudy, his friends and his writings are pure Hate-America, but he was elected on promises he never kept, he may be re-elected because he promises more of the same, hand-outs and dependency on government.  Enough of the Hate-America crowd will vote for him again, they long to be more like France or most of Europe, wallowing in unfunded pensions, unemployment and dissatisfied with government and their lives.

Chik-Fil-A CEO expressed his thoughts, his moral views, he believes in traditional marriage between a man and and woman, for that he is called a homosexual hater.  Although he hires and serves homosexuals daily, makes a good product, serves it with a smile, he is deserving of crucifcition because of his morals and disagreement about a segment of our society he disagrees with just parts of what they ‘demand’.  This is not America, this is bullying of the worst kind, get the government to agree with your lifestyle and demand all others think likewise.

The President of the United States background is vague only to those who don’t realize that Hawaii is actually a State in the Union.   His heritage and schooling is
vague only if you don’t WANT to believe the facts.

So if you long for the more civil, moral country in which you live,  try dropping the
fake ignorance that you know nothing about the background of Our President.

    It doesn’t ring true.

Cathay didn’t say he hated anyone – he said pretty much what the President said – I know several gay an lesbians who work for Chik-Fil-A – the guys owns a business – business give monies all the time to organizations based on their philosphy – I don’t agree to many causes out there – I give  to those organizations who share similiar beliefs as myself.  Why would I give money to an organization that I don’t believe in? Live and let live…
