AURORA | Aurora School Board member Eric Nelson is up for re-election in November and while he hasn’t officially declared he’s running again, Nelson was in attendance at a meeting for potential candidates on July 25.

Nelson was among about three dozen people who showed up to the informational session on the process and regulations around this November’s election. Also in attendance from the board was Director Barbara Yamrick, who is also up for reelection, along with directors Cathy Wildman and Monica Colbert, who answered questions from the potential candidates.

During the question and answer period with the audience, one person asked the group who was definitely going to run among those gathered. While several people raised their hands, Nelson didn’t raise his hand.

Nelson took a call as he left the meeting and declined to talk to media. A call for comment wasn’t returned by press time.

Yamrick also declined to answer the person’s question about if she was going to run.
