Yvette Zinnell Alnutt Reiner, 45, passed away unexpectedly on Wed May 9, 2012. Yvette was born in Kansas City in 1967 and graduated from Southwest High School. She earned a BGS degree with an emphasis in Psychology and Health Care from the University of Missouri, Columbia in 1992.
That same year she married her college sweetheart, Thomas Reiner Jr and they have lived in multiple cities around the country before settling in Colorado. Yvette earned her nursing degree from Samford Brown University, in 1997. Her nursing career has included stints in ER and Trauma , NIC unit, and various clinical positions in Level I Medical facilities throughout the country. She has also worked in medical marketing and sales and as a nurse liaison within the community. Yvette was known for her compassion, her strength when dealing with crisis, her wild sense of humor and her love for her “Boys” Jay Jay & Diesel. One of her passions was the Susan G. Koman Breast Cancer foundation. Last year she proudly completed her first triathlon for that cause.
In addition to her husband, Yvette is survived by her parents James and Jannie Alnutt of Kansas City, two brothers, James Alnutt and Mark Alnutt (wife Kate) also of Missouri, 7 nephews, 2 nieces, and many aunts, uncles and cousins. Services will be held on Saturday May 19th at Good Samaritan Missionary Baptist Church 5337 Belfontaine, KC, MO. Contributions can be made to the Susan G Koman Breast cancer foundation in her name.
