Downtown Denver selected for patent office

AURORA | The U.S. Patent and Trademark Office has selected Downtown Denver for its new office location, Sen. Michael Bennet’s office announced Aug. 22.

According to the senator’s office, the USPTO will be at they Bryon G. Rogers Building at 1960 Stout St..

Officials announced the region would be receiving a patent office in July at an announcement made at the Anschutz Medical Campus in Aurora. Officials touted the proximity of the office to the burgeoning bioscience district and said the office would alleviate the backlog of patent applications.

Satellite offices of the USPTO will also be opening in Dallas and San Jose, Calif.
